Forman Spotlight

Clubs at Forman

October 28, 2022

Each year, Forman offers a variety of clubs to enhance and support student life, academics, and athletic programs. Clubs are proposed and driven by student interest and advised by faculty members.

On Thursday, students attended a Club Fair in the dining hall, where club leaders did an excellent job promoting their clubs, answering questions, and encouraging new members to join. There are more than 20 clubs this year, including the following:

  • Archeology Club: This club learns about the history and geography of found or mythical artifacts. Artifacts will include the Ark of the Covenant, the Cintimani Stone, the Mani Stones, and a few subtopics of archeology and the archeology of a few countries.

  • Debate Club: This club's objective is to give students a place to speak their opinions on current events or past events.

  • Jewish Culture Club: This club teaches people Jewish culture, traditions, and holidays. It will also discuss why the Jewish culture celebrates these things and how, what is the story behind them, and why it is so important and significant to the culture.

  • Newspaper Club: This club will create and publish a Forman newspaper.

  • Philosophy Club: This club informs students about philosophy and how it can be useful in everyday life.

  • Sports Analytics Club: This club reviews sports stats and fantasy sports and analyzes statistics to make predictions on what teams will win.

  • Swifties United: Taylor Swift Club: This club brings people together through the power of Taylor Swift's music and explores feminism and the correlation between heartbreak and art.

Clubs meet regularly during the entire year.
