2024 Fall Athletics Season Recap

December 19, 2024

As we look back on the fall season, it’s clear that our students excelled in both competitive sports and recreational activities.

Our competitive sports teams had an outstanding season across various levels. The Crew team showed incredible determination and teamwork, making significant progress and achieving impressive results at many regattas. The Cross Country team pushed themselves to new personal bests, with several athletes securing top finishes in races while hosting both the HVAL Invitational and team championships at White Memorial. Our Football players displayed resilience and growth, finishing strong and improving their skills with every practice and game. Boys’ and Girls’ Soccer teams showed remarkable teamwork and skill. Our girls’ team made it to the semifinals, marking an exciting achievement. The Volleyball team demonstrated excellent communication and determination, earning impressive victories and gaining valuable experience along the way, including a bid to New Englands for the second time in three years.

Our recreational programs gave students unique opportunities to explore new interests and passions. Our Outdoor Adventure program offered students thrilling opportunities to challenge themselves and connect with nature through hiking, magnet fishing, climbing, and survival skill building. The Boatbuilding program allowed students to develop hands-on skills while creating something truly special. They worked on a boat that was donated to our local library’s auction. In the Culinary Bistro program, students experimented with new recipes, learned valuable cooking skills, and shared their creations with the community. Students in the Mindful Movement & Meditation program explored physical and mental well-being through yoga, meditation, and other movement practices.

Additionally, Theater students captivated audiences with their creativity and dedication, bringing this year’s performance of “Almost, Maine” to life. The Yearbook team worked diligently to begin capturing the essence of the school year, which will be turned into a beautiful keepsake that reflects the spirit of our community. Our Robotics team continued to innovate, solving complex challenges and developing skills that served them well as they competed in their competition, finishing strong in both skill and presentation.

It was an inspiring season filled with hard work, personal growth, and memorable moments. We’re excited about what lies ahead in the winter and look forward to another season of success and exploration!
